Real Weddings: Mari + Tim

I'm so glad to be looking at these pictures today, in the middle of winter.  I don't know if it is Carol Harrold's amazing photography, Inglewood's beautiful grounds, the pretty colors in the summery bouquets, all the lace on my new chuppah, or Mari's gorgeous and infectious smile, but this wedding just feels like SUMMER!  And it is the only thing that feels like summer around here right now, so I'm appreciating it that much more.  Enjoy!

Such a pretty bride from last year...and a pretty photo from Maurice Photo. Purple phaleonopsis, dark callas, "Black Magic" and "Vino Rosso" roses, and hypericum berries comprised her bouquet. But I think it's her gorgeous smile and bridely glow that really make this picture fantastic.

A few favorite Fiore weddings have been making the blog rounds recently.  First, Sylvia + Matt's vibrant fete at the Four Seasons Seattle was featured by True Colors Events earlier this week.  It's not very modest, but I have to say that I loved the designs that Sylvia, True Colors, and I came up with to complement the gorgeous ballroom at the stunning new hotel.  Check out how lush modern can look, the TALL orange pieces, and how striking a monochromatic palette can be.  Oh, and how much fun  Sylvia had!  (Photos by Sarah Rhoads Photography).

Nicole + Dave, one of my all time favorite couples, were featured as a Junebug Real Wedding and on their Photobug blog. 

Their wedding was romantic, lovely, and very Seattle (though locals will know that the venue was on the Eastside!).  Misty rain, lush flowers, and sunbreaks with killer views.  Top it all off with Nicole's fantastic fashion sense, and you've got yourself one perfect little wedding.  (Photos by La Vie Photography).  Enjoy!

Nicole & Dave

One of my favorite (actually, just maybe my very favorite) Seattle photographer couples, Kim and Adam Bamberg of La Vie Photography, have pictures up today of an exuberantly happy wedding we did together in September. Check it out for gorgeous inspiration and to see some work from an incredible team. I was lucky enough to meet Nicole early in the planning process, so was able to pass on the names of several favorites (super organized and oh-so-stylish Katy Leiser from Unveiled Events, and the ever-so talented and creative Cheryl from Paper Moxie). The result was my version of the Allstar Game. Loved it.

Real Weddings: Nicole + Dave

Urban Unveiled was a huge success last week (Thanks Travis, Jesse, and Sharlane for planning such a fantastic event!)--full of fashion, sparkly crystals, new friends, great neighbors on both sides, and old friends that stopped by to visit and check out my space. The lovely Kim Bamberg from La Vie Photography took piles of pictures for me, so I'll share once I have them back. It's the end of a busy season though, which means Kim's probably getting even busier, so I thought I'd show this favorite wedding today that she also shot, and inspired what I did at the show.

I loved planning with Nicole--she was full of good ideas, enthusiasm, and anticipation, without a hint of stress (at least none that I ever saw!). She also is one fashionable lady, so I completely trusted her when she handed me a printed paper picnic napkin at our first meeting and said it was the inspiration for the wedding. The deep plum, rich raspberry, bright stem green, smokey pewter, and warm brown palette was so sophisticated and fresh. I loved it so much that I did another version of the palette for Urban Unveiled, and have now convinced my husband that we should paint the dining room deep purple--so it works miracles on top of being gorgeous!

Some of the other really awesome components were embroidered silk linens from Choice Linens, glassybaby votive holders, and beautiful papers from Paper Moxie. Katy Leiser did a stunning job of coordinating the whole thing, and Kim and Adam Bamberg are so rad! (I can't resist using this word since Kim left me a message last week and dropped it about five times. I'm telling you--the girl is one ball of fun!).

Megan + Kevin

I'm madly trying to put together a new portfolio in time for the Urban Unveiled show next week, and I'm starting to freak that I'll get it done but it won't arrive in time even if I pay oodles for extra shipping. Which is why I'm up working on it at 1:30 am. Reminds me of finals and dead week so many years ago...



Cheri Pearl just sent this beautiful shot from Megan and Kevin's May wedding at the Seattle Public Library. More to come since I've received tons of them this week from various picture peeps following a slew of panhandling emails.

Hey there!

Ok, I'm thinking of getting back to work. The hiatus has been lovely...weddings, painting, yard work, record heat in Seattle (not so lovely actually), and lots of frozen meals (I took an unannounced hiatus from cooking too, much to my family's dismay). I'll be posting pics this week of some of the recent weddings.

Real Weddings: Anna + Matt's flowers

The pretty pictures from Sharlane Chase continue...today, a few shots of Anna and Matt's flowers. Zinc trays for low centerpieces from Jamali Gardens with hand-blown glass hurricanes in the center from Pottery Barn. Directions for hand-wired candles here, and Jamali's petite votives are the perfect size.

[I love the hand-crafted look of them...a nice change from the ubiquitous hanging drop votives often used. My husband probably wouldn't agree--while making 150 of these together, he asked constantly why we weren't using the ones we always use. Around #89, I started to think the question had some merit, but we'd gone too far to give up! But if you are thinking of doing it, they really only took a couple hours to do all of them.]

Real Weddings: Anna + Matt

Beautiful photos from the uber talented Sharlane Chase, and lots and LOTS of kissing! If it's any predictor of future bliss, than I do believe these two will be still kissing on park benches at 95.

Sharlane sent so many great pictures that I'm going to post a few more tomorrow. They'll be the fun ones--details and flowers!
