A few pictures from the rehearsal dinner I designed last weekend. The event was held at a beautiful home owned by friends of the bride and groom. The mother of the groom chose the beautiful black and white graphic linens from Choice Linens, and wanted flowers that were vibrant, lush, and dramatic. Hot pink peonies, black bacara and black magic roses, chocolate fiddleheads and burgundy orchids were perfect.

The dining room had a large table with sets of glass cylinders holding sculptural callas, mounds of lush peonies, and submerged graphic ceramic orbs that complimented the linens. A long narrow table on the side had three low dishes with arrangements of roses, peonies, and orchids interspersed with votives wrapped in silver and black bullion wire.

Close-ups of a set of three cylinders on the large table.

The callas were wrapped with overlapping variegated lily grass and wrapped in bullion wire.

The narrow side table...

The other dining room had round tables with low dishes of orchids, roses, peonies, callas, and fiddleheads

I so wish my bad photography could capture how vibrant the red and pink was against the graphic black and white. It was such a striking combination!
Tomorrow...a few pictures from the wedding that followed and had a totally different look!
