Real Weddings: Gloria & Tani

While browsing around looking at weddings on photographer's websites one day (my guilty pleasure when my little guys are napping in the afternoon), I ran across a wedding that was absolutely stunning. I was busy planning a cherry blossom wedding, and loved that this wedding captured the spirit of cherry blossoms--without using them as a "theme" or obvious design choice. There are beautiful little details everywhere, and Lisa Lefkowitz's photography is absolutely luminous.

Gloria wore a skirt from Monique Lhuillier (always my very fave!) and a top she designed herself. She also designed the bridesmaid dresses herself, and designed and crafted many of the decor details throughout. Talented? Yes! And she is sharing her talent now through her new planning company called Sash and Sugar.

The perfect bouquet? Palest blush pink peonies...by Briar Rose.

Gloria's bridesmaids carried bouquets of pink peonies and roses with pale green hydrangea--and accented this soft look with some wild cheetah shoes!

The beautiful ceremony room at the Kohl Mansion in Burlingame:

The wish blossom tree, a very pretty guest book alternative.

The Julia Morgan Ballroom in the Merchants Exchange building, all dressed up for the party.

One of the table designs, showing ivory damask linens with bouquets of peonies and hydrangea. Gloria also included lovely menu cards and favor boxes at each place setting. And inside the favor boxes? Cookies with Gloria and Tani's Chinese zodiac signs, and a little letterpress game of "Taboo" for guests to play during dinner!

Beautiful wrapped candle cylinders down the aisle, and votives covered in cherry blossoms paper.

And maybe the best for last...an amazingly elegant cherry blossom cake, and a tray of beautiful macaroons.

Thank you so much to both Lisa and Gloria for sharing this beautiful event! Do check out Lisa's website for more beautiful inspiration and her contact info for booking. I'm also looking forward to seeing more weddings from Gloria's new company!
